Hezbollah Wades Into Iran-Israel Conflict With Calculated Restraint, Analysts Say
Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel overnight in what analysts describe as a calculated show of loyalty to Tehran, while deliberately preserving the bulk of its arsenal estimated at roughly 25,000 rockets and missiles plus approximately 1,000 suicide drones. The group's limited strikes drew condemnation from Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who called the attacks "illegal acts" and demanded the Lebanese military prevent further operations. Over 70 people were killed in subsequent Israeli retaliatory strikes on Lebanese infrastructure as civilians fled the south.
