Qatar FM Rejects Iran Claim Gulf States Were Not Targeted, Demands Halt to Attacks

Qatar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani categorically rejected Iran assertion that its strikes on Gulf states targeted only U.S. and Israeli assets, calling for an immediate halt to attacks on Qatari territory. Al Thani stated that Iranian strikes had hit civilian areas, the international airport, and LNG facilities, invoking Qatar right to self-defense. Doha signaled preference for diplomatic dialogue while warning it would take necessary measures to protect its territory and citizens.
