Israeli Airlines to Resume Outbound Flights Sunday, Capped at 70 Passengers Per Plane
Israel is resuming outbound flights from Ben Gurion Airport starting Sunday at 8 a.m., with a maximum of two narrow-body aircraft departing hourly, each carrying no more than 70 passengers. The decision follows the partial reopening of the airport Wednesday for inbound flights. El Al, Israir, Arkia, and Air Haifa will operate the flights, with Israeli citizens required to sign agreements committing to remain abroad for at least 30 days. Approximately 28,000 foreign tourists and 120,000 Israelis remain stranded as a result of ongoing airspace restrictions.
