IDF Intelligence Units 8200 and 9900 Guided Strike on Khamenei Underground Bunker in Tehran

Israel clandestine intelligence units 8200 and 9900 provided critical targeting data that enabled an airstrike on Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei secret underground bunker in Tehran, the IDF announced. The operation involved 50 aircraft firing over 100 munitions against the facility, which was spread over several city blocks in the heart of Tehran and served as a strategic regime command center. Unit 8200, described as Israel equivalent of the NSA, conducted signals intelligence while Unit 9900 applied satellite imagery analysis to locate the hidden facility. Khamenei had already been killed on February 28 at his primary command complex; the IDF targeted the secondary bunker to further dismantle Iran military command infrastructure.
